Humber Keel
At Medway Kent, , United Kingdom
Premier Houseboats are pleased to present this humber keel on a residential mooring with cruising capabilities. The current owner purchased this humber keel from the Wandsworth Youth River Club in 2003, where it had been used as a training, adventure and leisure pursuit vessel. It comfortably accomodated up to 12 children plus crew, and between 1985 and 2003 it has carried over 10000 children, and obviously from a safety point of view was maintained to strict high standards. The accomodation is on two levels, there is a comfortable deck level structure, light and airy offering panoramic views, and ideal as a lounge. Stairs lead down to an open living area, with wood and coal stove, comfortable lounge area and double berth. There is also a seperate galley, with Oven, sink and microwave. There is a seperate toilet area, a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, and a bathroom with sink, shower and a large bath that needs to be plumbed. Outside there is good clean deck space, and a wheelhouse with original equipment. The Lister engine, which has under 3000 hours, would benefit from a service as it has not been run since 2004. This humber keel provides comfortable accomodation, and is a good size as a static or cruising houseboat, and with some internal redesign and updating will be a superb home.
